Nebraska’s Electoral Votes, Winner-Take-All
A last minute push is being made in Nebraska to correct a wrong and align ourselves with what the Founding Father established. On Wednesday, Sen Lindsey Graham met with more than a dozen Republican members of Nebraska’s Unicameral at the governor’s mansion as reported on by 1011 Now. The purpose of that meeting was to garner support for a special session changing Nebraska back to a winner-take-all state, like our Founders created. Governor Pillen has already said he would call a special session.

It’s over. Governor Pillen’s special session on taxes has ended without much fanfare. With 17 legislative days, 81 bills introduced, and roughly $180,000 in cost, the Governor signed LB34 into law on Tuesday, August 20th. What tax relief do Nebraskan’s get with LB34?

Time is slipping away on ballot petitions
Much has been said about the number of ballot petitions that are currently rushing to secure enough signature to appear on the November ballot. There are eleven of them listed on the Nebraska Secretary of State website.
